HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR OREGON FISHING TRIP

Deposits

A $100 deposit is required at the time of booking to hold your spot.

Cancellations

Cancellations must be made at least three weeks in advance of your trip. Otherwise your deposit will not be refunded.  However, deposits forfeited are eligible to go toward another trip if booked within the following two months. If Pastime must cancels you will receive a full refund. It the trip is cancelled due to unsafe weather conditions and you can’t reschedule within one calendar year of booking date, you will receive a full refund.

Payment

We accept all forms of payment including: cash, check or credit card. Checks should be made out to Pastime Fishing Adventures. A $50 fee will be charged for any bounced checks. For credit cards a 3.2 percent fee will be added to your purchase.

Fishing License

Guests are required to purchase their own fishing licenses. These can be obtained by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife. It must be purchased through the mobile app and be on the phone in order to tag salmon. The current cost of a one-day license per person is $21.

Preparing for the Trip

It’s your responsibility to dress appropriately for the weather conditions the day of your trip. Make sure to bring plenty of food and drinks for the day. Bring a camera to record all your memories. Please use the restroom prior to boarding the boat as trips back to the shore will highly limit your time to catch fish.

Sea Sickness

Most people will experience sea sickness while fishing on the ocean. Sea sickness can be partially prevented by taking Dramamine the night before your trip and one hour before you set sail. Sea Sickness Bands can also be purchased from most pharmacies and they also aid in preventing nausea. Some people are more prone to sea sickness than others and sometimes it can’t be prevented. Refunds will not be issued to guests that return to shore because of sea sickness.
